Arboretum Park
|

Arboretum Park is located adjacent to the Senior Citizens Center. Arboretum by definition is a place where many kinds of trees or shrubs are grown for study or display. The Eagle Arboretum displays various plantings including 37 varieties of trees, native plants, and a variety of roses, ground covers and perennials. Plants and trees are identified by name stakes, which contain the scientific name, common name and family. The public is welcome to take a leisurely stroll through the Arboretum and take advantage of the picnic tables and benches.

Eagle Island State Park

|
This day-use park features a popular swimming beach, concessions, grassy picnic areas with tables, a group shelter and a waterslide. It’s a great getaway near the capital city. Pets and glass containers are not allowed in the park. Waterslide rides are 10 for $4, vehicle entrance fee is $3, and shelter reservation fee is $35. An all-day, unlimited-ride pass is available for $8. Open early May through September.

Friendship Park and Tennis Courts

Friendship Park features a lighted tennis court/sport court facility. A covered picnic shelter with tables and barbecues is available. This park features new playground equipment for older children in addition to an arch climber area. Porta-potties are available in the park from May through September.

Heritage Park and Gazebo
|
|
Heritage Park features a Gazebo and a ground level water feature that is the hit of children in the summertime. The Gazebo is available for public use and features entertainment events during the summer evenings. During the Country Christmas celebration, the Mayor lights the official City of Eagle Christmas tree in Heritage Park. This is a great place to gather and enjoy Eagle's beautiful downtown any time of year. Permanent public restrooms are available.

Reid W. Merrill Sr. Community Park

Reid W. Merrill Sr. Community Park is a 10 Acre park located adjacent to Eagle River Subdivision and the natural wooded areas next to the Boise River. Merrill Park features an open field, picnic area lawn, wetland/riparian areas, observation shelter, pond area, foot paths, children's play area, volleyball and basketball, group picnic shelter and public art. Permanent public restrooms are available.

Orval Krasen Park

Orval Krasen Park is a family park with open areas and features a covered picnic shelter. Tables, benches and barbecues are available. This park features new playground equipment for younger children in addition to a swing area and a dome climber. Porta-potties are available in the park from May through September.

Skateboard Park

Skateboard Park is 12,500 square foot Skate Park located at Goose Creek Road/Horseshoe Bend Road. The Skate Park was a joint effort by the City of Eagle and Ada County and is the first phase of an 85-acre park development. Restrooms and concessions are available.

Guerber Park has something for the entire family. Features include two covered picnic shelters, interactive water feature, playground equipment, and a baseball/softball field. Permanent public restrooms are available.
